Making Contacts

As many of you know, we produced a Prologue and 2 Episodes worth of the SEED Audio Drama a few months ago. Once burned to CD, that gave me a powerful tool to begin shopping around for more support. Well, long story short, I just got back from what appears to have been a very successful trip to LA. While out there, I met a number of people who have the potential to take SEED where we need to go:

David Wood is an executive producer who has literally raised hundreds of millions for various projects (including recently raising $140 million for the sequel to Mel Gibson’s Passion of the Christ). I have just today sent him a Letter of Intent to bring him on board as our SEED Executive Producer. This is the biggest step so far! I will soon be seeing an entertainment attorney (here in Dallas) about setting up a SEED LLC specifically for the purpose of raising money through investors. That really needs to get done before David can go to work bringing the project to some heavy-hitters.

James Adegoke is a former producer who still has many connections! He has the complete SEED business plan in hand right now and intends to connect me with Steve McEveety (Mel Gibson’s Executive Producer for Brave Heart and many others).

Joe Yackavetic and his production manager. They want to build a new movie studio in Anaheim and we are in negotiations for SEED to be the flag-ship production there (at least for the special effects – motion capture side of it).

Dan Angel is a a multiple Emmy, Peabody and WGA award-winning writer and producer. He has worked on both Battlestar Galactica and X-Files. He may be the guy who connects me with Scott Peters (creator/writer/executive producer of The 4400, V and The Outer Limits), who is my first choice for director on SEED.

Kevin Grevioux a writer, director and actor. He is most known for his work on Underworld (writer/producer) and in numerous movies and TV shows as an actor. He and I really hit it off at a comic book convention I attended out there.

Needless, to say, I am quite excited about what has happened so far, but we’re still in Jerry McGuire mode: “Show me the money…” and I have a lot of follow up work still to do.

We are moving forward and I’m continuing to work it as best I know how.
